The Comb App allows you to create precise 3D scans of your patient to prepare the shape for CAD software or fabrication.

Just tap on the body part you want to scan, within the app, and the scanner is ready to capture the shape – see if the app could benefit your practice with the capabilities below.

TLSO

Stand in front of your patient, then walk around while pointing the scanner at their torso - that’s it! Always scan slowly to ensure you capture the entire body part. Upload your scans to the cloud and access them from any computer.

KAFO

Rest the patient’s leg on a stable object, sit in front of them, and scan! Be careful to keep an eye on the screen to ensure the patient’s leg stays visible to the scanner. Watch this instructional video for a demonstration.

AFO

Before scanning, always make sure your patient is sitting comfortably. If need be, use a scanning fixture (or a stable object) to hold the patient’s foot. Be careful not to get too close, or too far! The optimal scanning range is 10-15”.

FO

Sit directly in front of the patient and rotate the phone slowly around their foot. During the scan, if you become uncomfortable, try transferring the iPhone between your hands. When you’re done, save the scan on the cloud!

KNEE BRACE

Sit next to the patient’s leg so you can view the iPhone screen. Sweep gradually around their knee until you capture the entire shape. If you scan too fast, the scan may fail! See the video for a demonstration.

BK

Sit your patient down comfortably before scanning. Then, slowly revolve around the patient’s residual limb (being careful to keep it centered on the iPhone screen). When you’re done, view your scan on the screen and save!
